The Food Bank Health and Nutrition Assessment (FB-HANA) helps food banks and technical assistance providers gain new insights about health and nutrition strategies, and identify areas for growth in the organization. The assessment allows users to easily identify ways the food bank promotes health via policies and practices in order to meet the needs of diverse groups. Users complete the assessment in 60-90 minutes and can use the results for strategic planning and goal setting. Food banks can conduct a second FB-HANA (i.e. post-assessment) after implementing changes, comparing pre- and post- scores, to measure progress over time.
